Crisis Residential Program

Our Crisis Residential Program provides short-term, consumer-centered treatment in a supportive, home-like environment to adults (age 18 and older) who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis and who can be treated safely and effectively in this environment. The program runs from a home on the grounds of Norristown State Hospital.

The services provided by the Crisis Residential Program support our Recovery Model, recognizing that recovery is based on a sense of hope, is achievable and is an individualized, ongoing process.

The Crisis Residential Program is an alternative to inpatient psychiatric treatment. It plays a key role in the offering of community behavioral health services in the region. Referrals are accepted from any source.
